• It aims to create opportunities for young women from marginalised backgrounds
Media personality Jamila Mohamed will be the keynote speaker at the One Girl Can's 8th annual leadership conference, 'Becoming the Best Version of Me', from September 30 at Pride Inn Azure, Nairobi.
The conference brings together 130 One Girl Can university scholarship students from across Kenya, gathering for a weekend of inspiration and personal growth.
After two years of hosting the conference virtually, founder Lotte Davis is excited to be back in person in Nairobi.
“The impact of personal mentoring, coaching and storytelling from successful women who have paved the way — there is no substitute for that kind of empowerment at start of a young woman’s career," Davis said.
"This unique human element is what inspires each student to become successful themselves and continue to pay it forward."
