Singer Nameless has petitioned for a road in South C to be named after late musician E-Sir.

In the petition, contained on the website Change.org, Nameless petitions Nairobi Governor Johson Sakaja to consider the request.

Nameless details how E-Sir died 19 years ago, describing him as a national treasure and a progressive musician.

E-Sir, aged 21, died in a road accident on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway on his way back to Nairobi from a concert on March 16, 2003.

The petition further adds why naming a road or street after E-Sir would be a good recognition.

"Long after his death, he is still widely regarded as one of the best rappers to emerge on the Kenyan hip hop scene."
