The gospel industry is mourning the death of legendary singer Ngash Ville.

Ngash is well known for featuring Daddy Owen and Dunco in the song 'Kaza Mwendo'.

Announcing the demise, Daddy Owen wrote:

"Losing a close friend has never been this painful. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21."

Singer Dunco said he was shattered and broken. "If only I knew this was a goodbye. Shine on, Ngash Ville."

Pastor T Mwangi appreciated him for welcoming him to Nairobi when he had just come from Narok.

"You embraced me and prayed for me as a new hip hop gospel artiste. We lived in Ruaka as neighbours and indeed the ministry has lost a great light. May God comfort your family in Jesus name."
