Three of Radio Africa Group shows have been nominated for the Afrika Mashariki Transport Awards.

The AMT Awards will recognise and celebrate the maritime, road, aviation and railway sectors.

Classic 105's Maina and King'ang'i in the Morning, Kiss FM's The Morning Kiss, Radio Jambo's Gidi na Ghost and Homeboyz Radio's Boyz Club have been nominated for the Radio Drive Show of the Year.

The award is open to radio stations that provide much-needed precautionary information on the happenings on the roads, including but not limited to road incidents, accidents, road maintenance, closures and other activities affecting road users.

The shows provide accurate, on-time, relevant and as much information as possible to listeners and road users.

The voters will be looking at the station that best delivers this information and be satisfied that the information helps them make the best decision that will get them to their destination safely and on time.
