DJ Kalonje and ex girlfriend Rachel

George Waweru, alias DJ Kalonje, and his girlfriend Rachael Ogolla, aka Laquina, have ended their relationship.

Announcing the news on social media yesterday, the mix master said he would remember the memories.

"In life, all good things must come to an end, even the most amazing moments with friends and loved ones. What is important are the memories created and also the lessons learnt," he wrote.

"We have mutually decided to each go our separate ways. With respect for each other's future endeavours. I wish her all the best in life as we both embark on different journeys."

The video vixen said she ended the relationship with the DJ amicably.

"He is a great man and I pray that God gives him someone who will always be there for him. All the memories we created, all the fun times we had will never fade away. I pray for blessings upon your life and you will forever remain in my heart," she wrote on Instagram.

This is not the first time the couple is breaking up. In March 2021,  Laquina announced her break up with the mixmaster after dating for five months.

“I’m publicly announcing that I broke up with Deejay Kalonje. I wish him the best in whatever he does. Whatever you see out there, just know that I’m not part of it. I’m single and now I just want to focus on myself,” she wrote at the time.

About two years ago, Kalonje broke up with his ex-fiancée, Sonnie, a few weeks after he proposed to her. They had dated for seven years.

In an interview with Radio Jambo at the time, he regretted ever posting about their breakup.

"It didn’t sit well with my fans and I later tried to cover it up by posting our picture together, but the damage was already done."

His breakup post read, "I just had one important priority in our relationship and that was you. The problem was we both had the same priority. All I can say is that the seven years were worth it. Wish you good luck in your endeavours."
