Comedian Churchill receives his honouree award

Comedian Daniel Ndambuki has received his honouree award from the United States of America.

Churchill was feted at the 6th edition of the Annual African Entertainment Awards, USA (AEAUSA), in 2020, but the award had not been shipped to Kenya.

He was handed a special honouree award for his exemplary work in the comedy industry.

Churchill expressed gratitude towards the organisers of the prestigious awards for recognition.

"Asante sana @aeausa for this recognition. Imefika Salama. On behalf of the entire support team behind me and the community we’ve all built together," he wrote.

"Despite the harsh 2020, there is always something to smile about. Thank you @AEA_USA for this. God wins again."

Sauti Sol was crowned as the hottest group in the continent, beating Navy Kenzo, Best Life, Weusi, B2C, Toofan, R2Bees, Calema, Dope Nation and Mobbers.

Comedians Eric Omondi was named as the best African comedian, while Diamond Platnumz scooped the best male artiste award.

Tanzanian songstress Nandy won the best female artiste award.

Rayvanny was the best male artiste.

Ugandan singer Eddy Kenzo emerged as the entertainer of the year.
