Tanzanian songstress Vanessa Mdee and her actor fiance Rotimi unveiled their pregnancy on Tuesday.
Vanessa Mdee revealed that she is expecting a son.
Speaking to people.com, Vanessa said her pregnancy journey has been smooth.
"He's been so good to us. No real pain or symptoms. Some funny cravings and food aversions here and there," she said.
"It's been much harder in these final weeks because he's preparing for his arrival, but all in all, we've been super blessed," Vanessa Mdee said. Through their Instagram page, they both shared photos of the heavily pregnant Mdee.
Rotimi said his greatest gift was Vanessa.
"You changed my life and now we are beautifully linked forever to raise a little us. I pray our son has your glow, your heart, your mind and your spirit. I will protect you and our son with everything I have!"
On the other hand, Vanessa had this to say. "The greatest gift of all. Thank you, Jesus, for choosing us - it is a true honour.
"We are overjoyed. Isaiah 55:2 - All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children."
As for what kind of parents they think each other will be when their baby boy arrives, Rotimi told People that his fiancée is destined to be a "very passionate, loving and protective mum".
And Rotimi, Vanessa said, is "definitely going to be the cool, calm, collected and fun dad who's also a great, communicative disciplinarian".
The couple met at an Essence Festival afterparty in New Orleans in 2019 and later got engaged in December last year.
