Socialite Amber Ray has shared the struggles she went through back in the day when she worked as a hawker selling tripe.

At the time she was a new mother, her son Gavin was just eight months old.

In a Q and A segment, a fan asked about her first business.

Amber Ray responded that she used to hawk cooked tripe.

"Kuuza matumbo. It was F*cked up."

She said at the time, she was living in a single room with an eight-month kid and no househelp.

"We used to leave Gavin [Amber's son] at my friend's place. I rush to Tao KMC then back to Kahawa West nazungusha matumbo. I had to sell stock yote ya kila siku since I did not have a fridge.

"I remember the mathree people and the way they used to frustrate me juu ya harufu ya matumbo, yenyewe acheni mungu aitwe mungu."

The socialite lives large according to her social media pages.
