Gukena FM co-host Jimmie Kajim on Saturday tied the knot with the love of his life Silvana Wambui in a colourful wedding ceremony at Scilla Gardens Kasarani.

The wedding theme colour was maroon and white. Kajim also hired drones to deliver their wedding rings just after they had said their vows.

Present were politicians, media personalities and musicians.

Speaking to Word Is after the wedding, Kajim and his wife Wambui thanked his friends and family for supporting him. The two are headed for their honeymoon.

"This would not have been possible without them, all those who made this be a success, I am honoured," he said.

Speaking about his budget for the wedding, Kajim said he spent about two million in total.

"I am so honoured that now I am married and I wish to give my wife the best and to continue learning from each other."

His wife Wambui said, "Kajim is so kind and one who does not postpone anything he plans to do. I would not have wished to do life with anyone else," she said.

Gukena FM programmes controller Raphael Kiritu wished Kajim a happy marriage.

"This is a journey he has started and he should make it work. There are no chances of giving the devil a chance, and so I will urge him to always be the man who leads his family in prayers."

Gukena breakfast host Njoki wa Mburu, who was the cake matron, quoted Ecclesiastes 3:11.

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart, yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end," she said.

"I would like to wish them well and be ready to first become students of marriage and the rest God will guide them."

Gospel singer Ben Githae said marriage is ordained by God for two people and, therefore, should be respected.

"The third person always comes to destroy," he said.

Musician Samidoh wished the couple well. The MC of the event was comedian Muthee Kiengei.

Others present included Kareh B, Ben Githae, DJ Fatxo and comedians Alex Mathenge and Henry Desagu.
