The list of nominees in the Pan-African Kisima Music & Film Awards 2020 is finally out.
Dr Fred Simiyu, chairman of the Kisima Music & Film Awards, said they are elated to see the big thread of names and inspired to see upcoming artists from across Africa take centre-stage.
This year the awards were presided over by a Pan-African jury made up of music and film experts from across the continent.
The public voting period has begun and will end on December 12. The winners will be announced the following day.
Among those in the list are Mbogi Genje, Sauti Sol, Femi One and Otile Brown among others.
The awards ceremony will be at the Sarit Centre in Nairobi and will be broadcast virtually across the globe.
