Fast-rising Ugandan singer Martha Mukisa, 25, has announced she is about to release her debut EP, 'International Local'.
She said in a statement, "It is expected to be a crossover project to the continent and east Africa as a whole."
Mukisa has cited her mentors as Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, Juliana Kanyomozi and John Blaq.
The vocalist grew up in a religious setting and started her singing career in church at an early age.
She is a graduate with a diploma in textile designing and technology from Kyambogo University.
Her music career took an upswing when she signed to Black Magic Entertainment, a record label known to be producing the biggest brands in the industry.
