Diamond Platnumz has made history by becoming the first artist in sub-Saharan Africa to clock more than 1 billion views on his YouTube Channel.
Diamond has achieved this feat nine years after he started his YouTube account. He has more than 3.6 million subscribers.
Diamond posts his shows, both local and international, as well as behind the scenes clips of his music videos.
The most-watched videos on his channel include Yope remix, Nana, Inama and African Beauty
Diamond celebrated by holding a small bash at his home.
A congratulatory message from his WCB record label read:
“This was not an easy thing to achieve. Billion! Thanks to the fans. Congratulations to the boss on achieving that."
His proud mother, Mama Dangote, also congratulated him.
