Upcoming artistes should avoid drama if they want to succeed, gospel star Daddy Owen has said.

Owen has been named among the top-earning artistes in Kenya. Taking to social media he wrote, "Thankful to see my name among the Top Earners in the Kenyan Music Scene, Glory to Jesus."

 

Adding, "To all upcoming Gospel Ministers, you don't need drama, shenanigans, sideshows, trending and all to spread the Gospel. Just do true Gospel songs with substance and will be timeless." 

Sauti Sol were the top earners and went home with Sh400,000. MCSK chief executive Milcah Kulati said many people want to listen to Sauti Sol's music. 

Others top earners were Nyashinski, Christina Shusho, Mercy Masika, Eunice Njeri and Nameless.
