Chief magistrate Martha Mutuku has lifted a warrant of arrest on Peter Mwanyalo, alias Peter Blessing, who had been charged with obtaining money by false pretences.

He is said to have obtained Sh2,039,000 from Kevin Kioko, alias Bahati, at EMB records studios in Nairobi.

Mwanyalo is said to have pretended he could produce music videos with the studios between July 4, 2019, and January 5, 2020. He denied the charges.

The court released him on a Sh500,000 bond or Sh200,000 cash bail.

Mutuku also lifted the warrant of arrest against him for failing to attend court on January 23.
