Boniface Mwangi took to social media to send a message to Sultan, aka 001, aka Hassan Joho.
He went out on Twitter, ranting that as someone born in Mombasa, he grew up in a different kind of city. A clean Mombasa.
The social activist noted that Mombasa has grown, but the most visited beach, Pirates Beach, is dirty. Apparently at some point, beach had stalls made of polythene by traders.
Boniface had strong advice for Joho and how he should maintain the county.
He said: "If Joho put as much effort into cleaning Mombasa as he has put in his personal visibility, Mombasa would be a whole lot cleaner. If Joho put as much effort into cleaning Mombasa as he has put into maintaining that famous beard of his, I bet it would be the cleanest city in the country."
