Nairobi-based Afro-beat singer Jaystar is scaling his efforts in grooming young, up and rising music talents.

In an interview with the Word Is, the Enuka hit maker, who was formerly based in Mombasa, said that the experiences he got as an upcoming artiste challenged him to lend a hand to others who were still in the struggle of realising their talents in music.

He singles out his latest collaboration with three other young artistes in the remix to his mega hit Kaa Masaa, as a flagship project that will see him involve more rising artistes in his musical works.

"This is my way of mentoring these young talented artistes, who are still struggling to make their talents and dreams a reality. I am also trying to encourage my fellow youth that you should not sit and wait for employment to find you, it depends on your urge and the energies you put towards succeeding in life for you to make it," he says.

Jaystar has even established the Jaystar Music Foundation to emphasise on his willingness to help the young talents.

He says, "I am currently working with Taji Music and I am bringing all these young talents on board to see that we have a music industry that grows."
