TANZANIAN singer, Ommy Dimpoz, has refuted claims that he is in a romantic relationship with Diamond Platinumz’ ex-lover and former Miss Tanzania beauty queen, Wema Sepetu.
The Wanjera star, who spoke exclusively with Word Is during a recently held concert at Patapata Beach Club in Malindi, said that all that exists between him and Wema is a working relationship.
He also said that his relationship with Diamond was still “strong”, contrary to media rumours that they no longer see eye-to-eye following the reports of his alleged romance with Wema.
“About Sepetu... I have a girlfriend and she knows it. I will be going with her to London during Valentine’s Day next year, and Wema knows it as well. She is just a good friend, in work and in person,” he said.
Our sources in Tanzania intimate that Diamond and Dimpoz friendship “died” a long time ago.
“I have no problems with Diamond. You media people... You love creating creating unjustified remarks. We are still strong friends,” said Dimpoz.
Recently, Wema posted a photo on Instagram where she was seen in bed with Dimpoz which she captioned; “Tunawatakia usiku mwema jamani, Tuacheni tulaleee (we wish you a good night. Let us sleep).”
