A producer is accusing rapper Octopizzo of running off and "implementing" his music idea that is now the hit single BlackStar.
The producer Nomiz King of Kingdom Records told Word Is, "Mid-last year, I sent Octopizzo the beats to the now BlackStar song after agreeing that we would record it together. He was to record his verse, but he told me, he was busy with shows so I waited. Only for the song to be released before we got to work together."
Nomiz claims he contacted Octopizzo on Facebook to work out the deal.
As a parting shot, the producer said, "You might have stolen my song, but you can't steal my talent. It hurt, but I'm over it. This is just one of the many ideas in my head plus every time I hear that song, I'll know that my idea is a big hit. Make the most out of it, cause that's all you're ever going to get from me."
Reacting to these claims, Octopizzo told Word Is, "People got issues," adding, "I've never heard a name like that, never talked to person like that. And I don't do hip hop collabos. I have never done one so what will I be doing talking to him. I do collabos with people who do different genres of music from mine."
The So Alive rapper continued, "My producer is from New York. I have only two songs produced by a Kenyan producer since I started doing music. I don't produce beats in Kenya, so tell him to look for a different way of publicising his a**."
