
More than 300 exhibitors from 45 countries are set to converge in Nairobi for the 27th edition of BUILDEXPO Kenya 2026, East Africa's premier international trade exhibition for the building and construction industry.
The event expected to showcase cutting-edge technologies and strengthen regional trade and investment.
The exhibition will be held at the iconic Carnivore Exhibition Grounds in Nairobi and is expected to attract thousands of industry stakeholders, including contractors, architects, engineers, developers, manufacturers, distributors, investors and policymakers from across Africa and beyond.
Countries that have confirmed participation include India,
China, Germany, Turkey, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Taiwan (ROC), South
Africa and Egypt.
Organisers said the four-day exhibition will bring together leading international companies and innovators keen on introducing advanced products, equipment and technologies aimed at transforming the region's construction industry.
Among the major exhibitors expected at the event are Iran Innovation Fund, Onew Investment Company Ltd., Zhong Ze Nice Wood, Carldora – Cofragens, Andaimes e Escoramentos, S.A., PL International Holdings Limited, Buffalo TBS Enterprises Co. Limited and Ajax Engineering Pvt. Ltd.
"These companies will showcase the latest technologies, equipment, and solutions designed to drive innovation and accelerate infrastructure development across East Africa," the organisers said in a statement.
Joe Mutugu, the Chief Executive Officer of the Affordable Housing Board under the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development's State Department for Housing and Urban Development, will launch the expo.
The event is being held under the patronage of the State Department for Housing and Urban Development and the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry through the State Department for Trade, underscoring the Kenyan government's commitment to supporting industrial growth, investment and infrastructure development.
Over the years, BUILDEXPO Kenya has established itself as the largest and most influential platform for the building and construction industry in East Africa, bringing together manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers and decision-makers to explore emerging opportunities and forge strategic partnerships.
The exhibition also enjoys the support of key government agencies, professional associations and regulatory bodies, including the Kenya Association of Building and Civil Engineering Contractors (KABCEC), Bilmah Engineering Services Ltd. and the Mining Engineers Society of Kenya (M.E.S.K.).
According to the organisers, the participation of these institutions demonstrates the expo's growing significance as a regional hub for collaboration, innovation and sustainable growth within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
