Twitter Boss Elon Musk has announced that Twitter Blue Verified subscribers can upload videos.

In a statement on Thursday, Musk said the subscribers will be able to post videos up to two hours of 1080p.

"Twitter Blue Verified subscribers can now upload 2-hour videos (8GB)!" he said.

According to Twitter Help Center, if you are not a Twitter Blue subscriber, you can upload videos up to 140 seconds long on any platform.

"Share more content with your followers with Twitter Blue. Subscribers can upload videos up to 2 hours long (1080p) on twitter.com and Twitter for iOS," it adds.

"Subscribers can upload videos up to 10 minutes long on Android."

This is yet another change to be introduced by the business magnate to the platform in a span of approximately two months.

On May 8, Musk said the company was working on deactivating all accounts that have had no activity for considerable periods of time.

"We're purging accounts that have had no activity at all for several years, so you will probably see follower count drop," he tweeted.

On April 1, he introduced a subscription for the Twitter Blue badge which was formerly issued free of charge.

The change saw a number of users lose their verification marks before the badge was restored to those with over a million followers, at no cost.

All the other users with less than one million followers must pay a monthly subscription fee of $8 (Sh972) to acquire and retain their blue ticks.

Subscribers also enjoy priorities in replies, mentions and searches.

These features, Musk said, are aimed at defeating spam and scams.

Musk bought the giant social media platform in 2022.

On Monday, Musk welcomed the platform's new CEO Linda Yaccarino, announcing that he will be focusing on product design and new technology.

"My role will transition to being executive chair and CTO, overseeing product, software and sysops," Musk said.
