Software development company, Zoho, has announced its execution plans and ongoing investment in AI having launched 13 AI generative application extensions and integrations powered by AI.
Through their AI, Zia, part of its developing strategy includes platform expansion and an innovative roadmap focusing on delivering customer experience and value.
This is in a bid to ensure the highest level of privacy and security.
In the short term, Zoho will facilitate Zia's integration with third-party intelligence, bringing the new technology into the company's broad portfolio of solutions.

Zoho Kenya Country Head Veerakumar Natarajan said the fusion of ChatGPT with their AI features seeks to provide users with a more intuitive, efficient, and secure experience.
“For over a decade, we have been executing and implementing Zia (our AI) across our products as we develop in-house tech that runs through our private cloud,” he said.
"As a technology partner, Zoho's customers continue to rely on us for keeping them ahead of the curve while retaining core tenets like privacy, which they have come to respect. We will continue to deliver on this promise without compromise.”
According to the 2022 Government AI Readiness Index, Kenya ranked fifth in Africa on the government’s readiness to implement AI in the delivery of public services.
It ranked behind Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and South Africa.
On the technology pillar, Kenya posted a dismal score of 28.76 per cent, which is below the global average of 35.17.
This pillar assesses the availability of required skills that enable AI adoption.
"This is a positive indicator for the Kenyan market, and businesses need to tap into the full potential of Artificial Intelligence so as to improve their customer experiences, privacy, and productivity," Natarajan said
Now available in the market, Zoho’s new generative AI extensions, powered by ChatGPT, have been integrated into its applications and can be leveraged right away.
With Generative AI, these applications can:
- Zoho CRM - extract important information from customer records, predict deal outcomes, create custom emails and templates, and check for grammatical errors.
- Zoho Analytics - allows users to import public datasets, blend them with business data, and create SQL queries from natural language.
- Zoho Desk - can summarise tickets, analyse customer tone, generate replies from a knowledge base, and track down solutions.
- Zoho Writer - suggest headlines, fix punctuation and shorten content, and integrate answers to user questions.
- Zoho Mail - create multiple versions of emails, highlight action items, and generate email summaries.
- Zoho Cliq - paraphrase messages, transform threads into outlines, and shorten responses.
- Zoho Social - produce engaging content, suggest relevant supporting media, and optimise posts.
- Zoho Assist - generate shareable summaries and enhance customer service.
- Zoho LandingPage - create complete product-specific landing pages with forms, personalisation, SEO optimisation, and migration capabilities.
- Zoho SalesIQ - transcribe conversations, tag transcripts, review messages, and utilise ChatGPT Block in Zobot.
- Zoho Notebook - organise notes with automatic tagging and summarising, turns them into checklists, and provide grammar and spelling suggestions with Zoho Blue Pencil.
- Zoho DataPrep - find external datasets and suggest relevant formulas.
- Zoho Meeting - allows users to index session transcripts and generate effective keynotes.
