WhatsApp is working on a feature that will make a participant’s profile picture visible in the group chat.
According to the report, the feature is still under development and will be available for all users of Android and iOS.
However, a default icon will appear for those who do not have profile photos or those who do not want their profile to be seen by those outside their contact list.
Currently, WhatsApp only shows the phone number/name of the participant along with their message.
The profile icon will change to match the contact’s name in color.
