YouTube has announced that it is testing a new mobile feature that will allow its users to zoom in on videos.
The feature is currently being tested with its premium subscribers. We do not know if it will be rolled out globally for all users
According to 9to5Google, another experiment brought to Premium users was easier playlist management, allowing users to easily drag and reorder upcoming videos around.
Today, premium users get to pinch to zoom in photos, and once zoomed, they can look and move around parts of the video.
The feature allows users to zoom in up to 8 times and works both in portrait and full landscape view and will be available on both iOS and Android.
Pinch to zoom will only be available until September 1. This will give YouTube Premium users enough time to try the new feature out and leave feedback.
