Construction and building materials retailer Builders on Thursday opened its first store in the region’s largest commercial hub, Nairobi. More than 150 youths were employed to serve customers.

Builders Kenya joins Botswana, Mozambique and Zambia as regions outside the retailer’s stronghold, South Africa.

Speaking during the launch, Waterfront director David Mogoko said, “We are offering services in both trade and retail. Our product range covers building materials and home improvement requirements. Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast, a homeowner, a small business or large contractor, Kenyans will soon experience the power to get it done.”
