• Healthcare workers in seven counties will receive the PPEs
More than 3,000 healthcare workers will receive personal protective equipment (PPEs) courtesy of the M-Pesa Foundation.
The foundation will work with local manufacturers to procure the PPEs and distribute them at an estimated cost of Sh20 million. This in conjunction with the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union.
Healthcare workers in seven counties will receive the PPEs, which include surgical masks, N95 masks, hand sanitisers, gowns, hazmat suits and face shields.
The function took place at Mbagathi County Hospital and was presided over by hospital CEO Dr Loise Mutai and chairman George Osewe.
