Nyali Association celebrates 1st Anniversary

Nyali Business and Residents Association celebrated its first anniversary at the Voyager Beach Resort, Mombasa on Saturday. As part of its corporate social responsibility, the association held a fund-raising dinner whose proceeds will go towards giving Nyali Police station a facelift including construction of the boundary wall and renovation of staff houses.

Nyali Business and Residents Association celebrated its first anniversary at the Voyager Beach Resort, Mombasa on Saturday.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the association held a fund-raising dinner whose proceeds will go towards giving Nyali Police station a facelift including construction of the boundary wall and renovation of staff houses. A total of Sh5.8million was raised.

During the event, Mombasa governor Hassan Joho promised to ensure proper lighting and water connection in the police station.

Others present were Nyali MP Hezron Awiti, his Kisauni counterpart Rashid Bedzimba, NBRA chairperson Wangari Ndegwa and Coast regional police commander Robert Kitur.

NIBRA, the umbrella body for all associations in Nyali was formed to uplift residents’ lives through engaging in business ventures.
