A vision board, also known as a dream board, is an ensemble of pictures and statements that serve as motivation and inspiration for you to accomplish your objectives.

It represents how you would like to see your life, or business turn out in that particular year. The goals are both long-term and short-term.

It aids in the visualisation of your goals and can be stored on your phone, printed out, or made manually from the comfort of your home.

Vision boards also remind you of your intentions.

The following are steps you can follow to create your vision board.

Do a review

Have a quick review of how your past year faired out. Answer questions like what worked for you, what did not and why.

The goals achieved, lessons learnt, and what you are grateful for. This sets the mood for your new year.

Set your goals

Have a brain dump and write down all the things you desire to achieve that year. Write everything including your big goals, dreams, and small goals like getting a new sandwich maker.

After this, prioritise your goals by deciding what you want to happen for you or what you want to achieve that year. These go to the vision board.

Use images and words

Search for images, and words that represent your goals.

Pick pictures you enjoy looking at because these will act as your daily visual reminder.

Download the images and save them, or print them.

Create your vision board

If you are designing a digital vision board that is using your phone or computer, use Canva, Pinterest, or Adobe to design it.

if you are doing it manually, divide your board into sections and structure, then begin creating it by writing your goal and intention directly on the board.

In a manual vision board, assemble the images and patch them up on intentions, and pictures that match them.

Save it

If it is a digital vision board, download it and save it as either your wallpaper or somewhere you can access it easily.

If it is a manual vision board, hang it where you will see it regularly.

After that, get to working towards your goals.
