Keep off matters health, senators told

Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital health workers have asked the Senators to keep off health matters.

The health workers are saying that the senators, being politicians, are not equipped to discuss matters of health.

This follows concerns over the closure of the Level 5 hospital after a Parliamentary inquiry into the recent death of a mother and child during delivery.

They are saying Mama Lucy is a key health facility for thousands of residents in Nairobi as it is a County Referral Hospital.

They say closing the hospital would cause many Kenyans in the Eastlands area to suffer.

Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital serves more than 2.1 million residents of Eastlands.
