When sinks become clogged with debris it could get annoying.

Kitchen sinks are the ones that block the most compared to bathroom ones.

They are likely to block because we use them to clean and clear out dirt.

Food particles could pile up and clog the kitchen sink while hair and other products like soil could clog the bathroom sink/drainage.

Here's how you can effectively unblock your sink at home;

1. Sieve huge particles from going through the sink

First things first, avoiding the cause of the problem will eliminate the possibility of it becoming an issue.

You can prevent this situation by being in control of what goes into the sink/drainage.

A sieve can come in handy while handling water or liquid that has particles in it.

2. Pour hot water into the sink/drainage

Regular pouring of hot water into the sink will remove any particles that may have accumulated in the pipes.

Doing this after washing your dishes and before going to bed will help clear the pipes of any food material.

3. Use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar

Bicarbonate of soda mixed with vinegar can help unclog blocked sinks.

It is an acidic reaction that removes the food material that is stubborn to come off in the sink pipes.

It could apply to all types of sinks.
