Apple released the first Beta version of its iOS 10.2 software to registered developers on Tuesday.

The biggest change that comes with iOS 10.2 is to the popular emoji keyboard, which now has more than 70 new characters.

The new emojis now include an astronaut, a face-palm and the long-anticipated avocado.

New hand images have been introduced including a fingers crossed emoji, and face-palm character.

In the career section, there new emojis include a firefighter, welder, astronaut and even a rockstar.

They all have different genders and races.

The long-standing red-dress dancing woman has also been joined by a male equivalent, wearing a blue suit while pulling disco moves.

This is a step further to ensure equality among Apple's customers.

The delivery date is expected to be mid-November but registered developers have been given access to the Beta version.
