How to make deep fried cassava for breakfast

Cassava is an African dish that contains plenty of carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals.

It can be prepared by boiling, frying, roasting, and also deep-frying.

Enrich your breakfast with delicious deep-fried cassava.

It can be served with any beverage of your choice. 

These are some of the ingredients required.

Ingredients

  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Turmeric
  • Black pepper
  • Water
  • Two medium cassava 

Preparation 

Step 1 

Peel and wash your cassava.

Step 2

Cut your cassava into half and remove its middle stem.

Step 3

Cut the halves pieces into half-inch strips.

Step 4 

Boil the cassava, while they are boiling add a half teaspoon of salt, turmeric, and black pepper into the boiling cassava. 

Step 5 

Drain excess water from the boiled cassava.

Step 6 

Pour enough deep frying oil into a saucepan and heat it then deep fry your cassava until golden brown. 

Step 7  

When done serve it in a clean bowl and enjoy it with any beverage of your choice.
