Termites and grasshoppers

Fried termites and grasshoppers are a delicacy in Kenya.

Termites are often roasted or fried before being eaten. They are commonly eaten as a snack, and some people also add them to stews and soups to enhance the flavor.

Termites are high in protein, and their consumption has been linked to improved immune function and other health benefits. They are popularly consumed alongside a famous Kenyan starch Ugali.

Century eggs

These eggs are a popular delicacy in China, preserved for many weeks or months in a mixture of clay, salt, wood ash, and quicklime.

Through the process, the yolk becomes a dark green to grey color, with a creamy consistency and strong flavor while the white becomes a dark brown, translucent jelly with a salty flavor.

These eggs may be paired with rice and salted dried pork or steamed with spinach.

Fried tarantulas.

Fried tarantulas(a type of spider) are considered a delicacy in some parts of the world, particularly in Cambodia.

These tarantulas are usually cleaned and then fried in oil until they are crispy on the outside. Some people compare the taste of fried tarantulas to that of fried chicken or shrimp.

Tarantulas are considered poisonous some Cambodians consume them regularly.

Cobra heart.

Cobra hearts are infused with wine in Vietnam. This popular drink is popular among tourists and locals. Only the adventurous and brave can indulge in this drink.

Typically it is dropped in a transparent shot glass containing alcohol and then drunk as a shot.
