Here's how to make the sauce at home;

Ingredients

  • 10 Tamarind fruits
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • Small piece of ginger
  • ½ a teaspoon Salt
  • Chilli(Optional)

Preparation

Step 1

Remove the seeds of the tamarind from their shells.

Step 2

Chop the onions into diced pieces.

Step 3

Blend the garlic and garlic into a smooth consistency.

Step 4

Put them in a bowl and add water.

Step 5

Soak them overnight.

Step 6

Stir them and take out the seeds and pour the juice into a sufuria.

Step 7

Add the blended ginger-garlic paste into the sufuria.

Step 8

Add the onions and keep stirring under moderate heat.

You can add some chilly if you want some extra spice to it.

Step 9

Stir for a while and leave it to simmer for about five minutes.

Step 10

Set aside in a jar.

You can serve it with your favourite roasted dishes such as meat or potatoes.
