How to prepare English breakfast at home

Traditionally a full English breakfast includes bacon, sausages, eggs and a drink like coffee, tea or juice.

Today, an English breakfast also includes tomatoes, bread or even fruits.

This meal can be good for a late breakfast with friends and family, especially during weekends.

Ingredients

  • Baked beans:
  • Onions, finely chopped
  • Vegetable oil
  • paprika
  • tomatoes, chopped
  • soy sauce
  • 2-4 small pork sausages
  • 2-4 rashers smoked bacon or back bacon
  • 2 large eggs
  • Salt and pepper
  • Vinegar

To serve

  • 4 bread slices
  • Ketchup
  • Tomatoes
  • Jam or butter
  • Tea/ coffee/ Juice
  • Fruits, chopped in cubes

 

Preparation

Step 1

Cook the beans don't let them turn to mush.

Step 2

On low heat Simmer the chopped tomatoes, soy sauce, vinegar, salsa or ketchup, some salt, and pepper. Until the sauce has thickened slightly.

Step 3

Using a pan, fry the bacon and sausages on medium-low heat, turning often until nicely browned and crispy on all sides.

Step 4

Halve two full tomatoes, and grill using a pan. Lightly sprinkle the cut side with salt and cook them on the cut side until done and slightly caramelized. Use the one for the sausages

Step 5

Fry eggs to your liking.

Step 6

Toast the bread on a pan or toaster.

Step 7

Serve: Arrange the beans, sausages, bacon, and tomatoes on a large plate and enjoy.

Serve with toasted bread, tea, coffee, jam or butter and ketchup on the side.
