If you have thin lips, applying lipstick can be a bit tricky since you have less space to work with.

This is just another beauty trend some have naturally full lips others have money to afford plastic surgery, but did you know you can achieve the full lip look with the right lipstick application techniques?

You may have wondered about the best way to apply your lip colour,, and you may be curious about how to do it in a way that will give you the appearance of a plumper, fuller pout.

1. Apply lip balm

Whether you have thin or full lips, it’s always good to start by applying a lip balm if you don’t want to apply lipstick on dry lips. Not to mention dry lips tend to look less plump.

Smooth on your lip balm of choice to give yourself a proper base/ canvas to work with.

2. Line your lips

If you want to make your lips appear larger, very slightly overline them at your cupid's bow.

However, if you are going for the doll-like look  — overline them on the sides. Keep in mind that this will make you look less natural but if that's the look you're going for then line away.

3. Choose your lip colour wisely

Regardless of your lip size or shape, wear whatever lip colour makes you feel beautiful.

However, if your goal is to make your lips look fuller, opting for a nude lipstick that’s just a few shades deeper than your skin tone is your best bet.

If you choose a colour that contrasts your skin too much like red lipstick paired with fair skin, or baby pink on dark skin your lips will look smaller.

The less contrast between your skin and your lip colour, the fuller your lips will look.

4. Highlight your cupid bow

Applying a subtle glowy product to your cupid’s bow can help make your top lip appear fuller.

5. Finish the look by applying lip gloss

Light reflection is key when it comes to making the lips appear juicier so Add an ultra-shiny gloss to your pout.

Although lip gloss is optional depending on what type of make-up look you wish to achieve.

If you want more of a matte finish then skip the lip gloss.

By following these 5 steps you will be able to achieve fuller lips in less than 10 minutes.
