Kenya’s capital, Nairobi, is set to become the epicentre of African esports as it moves to host the inaugural PUBG Mobile Africa Cup (PMAC) finals this weekend.
The landmark event, sponsored by Infinix, comes after a successful PUBG Mobile Mombasa Colour Festival held at the coastal city last month. The festival brought together a vibrant mix of gaming, music, culture and colorful experiences—highlighting the incredible energy of the youth and the powerful connection between PUBG Mobile and its African player base.
Africa Cup (PMAC) Finals will take place at the Charter Hall, Nairobi, and will mark a significant milestone for the development of professional PUBG MOBILE esports on the continent. The two-day tournament will see sixteen of Africa’s most elite teams battle it out for the coveted title.

“This is a chance to witness the best PUBG Mobile players from across Africa battle it out for glory in an intense, high-level competition. Moreover, beyond gaming, there are live performances from top Kenyan artists, including Fathermoh, who will bring vibrant energy to the event,” management said in a statement.
“It is more than just a tournament; it’s a celebration of youth, music and culture, creating an unforgettable experience for everyone.”
As the main sponsor, PUBG Mobile delivered a high-energy event in Mombasa that captured the essence of its core values: youth, fun, music and color. The game's immersive world came to life during the event, blending perfectly with the vibrant spirit of Africa.
“Through this sponsorship, PUBG Mobile aims to challenge the stereotype that gamers are confined to their homes, disconnected from social interactions. By bringing people together for an event that celebrated both gaming and community, PUBG Mobile hopes to show that gaming is not just about screen time—it is about connection, creativity, and shared experiences in the real world,” organisers said.
