In Summary
Ugandan professional boxer Shakib Cham Lutaaya has opened up about his wife Zari Hassan's recent miscarriage.
In an interview on SPM Buzz, the professional boxer emotionally recounted the ordeal that was shared by his wife, Zari, on social media.
He said he was aware of the miscarriage, even though he did not share the news with the public. He preferred to keep the
information to himself.
Shakib’s wife, Zari Hassan, a Ugandan socialite, businesswoman, and actress, had hinted that she was pregnant, which left netizens in a frenzy, all excited for the couple.
She later hinted she may no longer be pregnant through a video she shared showing a flat tummy.
The professional boxer confirmed the miscarriage even though conserved about this topic.
He preferred not to explain further, saying, “It wasn’t me that said it, it was said by her. I think she is the right person to explain it.”
During the same interview, he went on to share his thoughts on receiving a lot of attention on social media.
“I try to ignore so many things on social media. When I see people talking about me negatively, I don’t give it attention. I try to stay the same person I was from way back. It hasn’t affected me, I came in knowing people will talk about me,” Shakib said.
Additionally, he mentioned that he and Zari have not followed each other on Instagram for like a year now.
When asked why, he said, “Actually, we have never talked about it. I do not know why we don’t follow each other, but I think that’s a question for her”.
However, he said he would follow her if she followed him first.
“It’s a tough question, I don’t know why it’s like that”, Shakib said regarding the couple not following each other on Instagram.
