John Felix Anthony Cena simply known as John Cena is trending on X after his appearance at the Oscar Awards which happened on Sunday night in Los Angeles.
The American wrestler-turned-actor was presenting the award for the best costume when he stepped onto the podium with only his birthday suit.
The 96th edition of the event was held at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood in Los Angeles.
Cena had been invited to the stage by the ceremony host Jimmy Kimmel to present the prize for Best Costume Design.
Kimmel began by mentioning the fact that it had been 50 years since a streaker invaded the stage at the 46th Academy Awards ceremony in 1974.
“Can you imagine if a nude man ran across the stage today? Wouldn’t that be crazy?” Kimmel asked, while behind him, Cena popped his head up from behind.
The two are then heard arguing over whether or not they were going to go through with “the streaker bit”.
"I changed my mind. I don't want to do the streaker bit."I just don't feel right about it. It's an elegant event,” Cena told Kimmel.
In the long run, he emerged from the wings of the stage walking while showing off his muscular physique with a large envelope covering his private area.
This happened even as attendees burst into laughter as others walked in shock.
But, before he could move the envelope to open it, some men clad in black suits rushed and covered him in a golden toga.
Kimmel said the skit was supposed to be funny to which Cena responded by saying “male body is not a joke”.
The beige-coloured protective garment covered him in the front and back.
Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster biopic Oppenheimer scooped seven awards including best picture, best actor and best director.
The drama tells the story of the “father of the atomic bomb”.
