Jamaican Dancehall queen Chinsea Linda Lee popularly known as Shenseea has explained why her Kenyan concert, which was to be held in August 2023 was cancelled.

An Instagram user had said that they were among those who paid for the concert but it did not take place, prompting her to reply.

Through her Instagram story on Monday, she said the concert was canceled due to security concerns.

Shenseea said after the concerns were brought to her attention, she was advised it was best to reschedule.

"I chose to refund my deposit than hold on to it without a date being set," she said.

She further informed her fans that the promoters of the event assured her that all the money would be refunded to patrons as well.

The Dancehall queen appreciated her fans for their continued support despite everything.

"I look forward to performing in Kenya soon. Thank you to all my supporters for understanding," Shenseea said.

On August 23, 2023, the artiste sent a message to her Kenyan fans after the postponement of her show.

She said things did not go as planned for her show that was set for August 26.

She had however noted that she was going to make the trip happen.

"First off Kenya, let me start by saying that I love you guys so much but I'm sorry everything did not go as we were all expecting.

"I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to coming there and having a grand time with you guys but just know that when I do touch down there it's going to be problems," Shenseea said.
