Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz has retracted his declaration that he is single.
In an Instagram post, the Tanzanian superstar said that the issue of him being single is impossible.
"Niwajulishe tu kwamba swala la usingle limeshindikana hivyo naendelea kula raha Hubani kwenye kisiwa na na kitongoji kile kile cha karafuu. Na wote mlokua mshadadia poleni sana. Siku nyingine acheni papara, mjifunze kusikiliza ata kidogo. Watu hawaachani kifala tu hivyo," he said.
Diamond had hours earlier announced on his Instagram Insta Story that he was no longer in a relationship.
He declared that no one should associate him romantically with any lady.
"From today on ningependa niwatangazie rasmi kuwa I AM SINGLE, sidate wala sina mahusiano na mwanamke yeyote...hivyo nisiwekewe mwanamke yeyote kama mwanamke wangu. Itakapotokea kudate ama kuwa na mahusiano nitawajuza ama kuwatambulisha as I always do," the Jeje hitmaker said.
The message was miscontrued to mean that he had parted ways with his signee and lover Zuchu.
The two have been rumoured to be in a relationship and a video of them enjoying intimate moments together several times appeared to confirm the narrative.
A few weeks ago, Diamond came out publicly to warn a man who he said hitting on his girlfriend via Instagram.
This is the first time Diamond confirmed an affair with Zuchu.
While sharing a screenshot of the man's text messages to Zuchu, Diamond warned him against such a move even as he paraded his mobile phone number on his Insta Story.
“Mwenye hii namba, nikujuze tu kuwa mwanamke wangu @officialzuchu amenifikishia habari zako!”
In the screenshot shared by Diamond, the man texted Zuchu saying:
“Give me a call when you’re up..."
“Nashida ya kuonana na wewe leo for 10min, utaniambia kama kuna gharama zozote za kukuona.”
