Tanzania gospel music sensation Christina Shusho has promised Kenyans a concert of its kind on New Year’s Eve.

In a message posted on her X handle Wednesday evening from JF Kennedy airport in the US, the ‘Mtetezi Wangu’ hitmaker said she would not disappoint her Kenyan fans on the night of the concert.

“Kila mtakachotaka mimi nifanye, kwa unyenyekevu nitakuwa nawaahidi kufanya kabisa (Whatever you will want me to do, I humbly promise to do),” she said.

“Mimi nitakuwa mtumishi wenyu tu nawatumikia na zawadi kedekede zinaendelea, asanteni sana. Upendo wenyu nimeupokea. Nawaahidi kutenda haki na Mungu wa mbinguni anisaidie lakini katika yote tuendelee kuombeana,” she added.

(I will be your servant and gifts continue trickling in. Thank you very much. I have received your love. I promise to deliver but in all let’s continue praying for one another)

Shusho announced on her X account on Tuesday that she will be holding a concert in Kenya on the 31st of December due to public demand.

She said her team was coordinating with renowned comedian Daniel Ndambuki better known as Mwalimu Churchill to organise the mega concert that will usher in the New Year.

"Due to increasing demands for a concert in Kenya, my team and I are working with Mwalimu Churchill to have a concert on December 31, 2023…( Kingereza Kimeisha)," the songstress said.

Churchill replied to the message on Wednesday and confirmed that the event will take place at Garden City Mall along Thika Superhighway.

“Churchill show crossover is on 31st at Garden City,” he said.

Shusho called on her Kenyan fans to tell a friend about the concert and encouraged them to follow her on her social media accounts while at it.

The songbird pointed out that at 29.9k followers on X, she wasn’t doing so well.

“Hapa nina jambo moja tu nakuomba, hebu angalia kwanza number ya following iliyoko Twitter (X), ni ndogo sana. Ndungu zangu Wakenya nawaamini sana, hebu tuongeze idadi hapo halafu mambo yaeleweke.”

(I just have one request, look at my followers on Twitter (X), it’s too small. My Kenyan brothers I believe in you, let’s add the numbers and things will be okay)

Shusho is credited for churning out gospel music songs that have ruled the airwaves for years.
