For most of my life, I lived under the assumption that having a solid three hours of uninterrupted sleep was an achievement. And for those who suffer from sleep disorders, that's often the most that we get. Our nights are usually spent tossing and turning.

Insomnia is a sleeping disorder affecting far more people that you would think. A recent study found that out of over 4,000 people, 27 percent had trouble falling asleep.

If your mattress is older than seven years, if you regularly wake up with a bad back or aches, if it takes you 20 minutes to find a comfortable position before you can fall asleep, you need to replace your mattress.
