Celebrated Tanzanian artiste Diamond Platnumz will perform live at a concert by Sansiri
Urban in Kisumu on Saturday, the eve of Valentine's Day.
Diamond, whose real name is Nasibu Juma, will rock revellers at Kisumu Simba Club grounds in the event that will run from 2pm to 6am.
The artiste has had several successes in his career, including being crowned Best Stage Performing artist in Africa by MTV in 2015.
Advanced tickets will cost Sh1,000 (regular), Sh2,500 (VIP) and Sh3,000 (VVIP), and Sh500 more in each category on the day of the event.
An after-party will be held at Acacia Hotel, where VIP and VVIP ticket holders will spend time with Diamond and other artistes.
Artistes who will be at the event include
Jalang’o, MC Jakakamega, Octopizzo, Khaligraph, Dj P Scratch, Dj Pierra, and Dj Mush.
Others are Nahna, Vicmass Luo Dollar, Gabiro Mtu Necessary, Kapweps, Hezy Bizzy and Ages.
Sansiri CEO Kagame Son said the concert targets to market and empower upcoming artistes in Kisumu and Western.
He said the vision is to see the music industry in Kisumu grow as it has in Nigeria.
