Bungoma Kenya Kwanza gubernatorial candidate Ken Lusaka has urged the electorate to vote for him and reject Governor Wycliffe Wangamati.

Addressing the press on Saturday, Lusaka said Wangamati has failed Bungoma for the five years he has been in office, adding he is optimistic of defeating him in the August polls.

Lusaka said he has traversed the entire Bungoma county and all the nine constituencies are supporting his bid for governor.

“If you compare the county budget that I was receiving and what my opponent is receiving, there is a very big difference,” he said.

Lusaka added during his tenure as the governor, he was able to do everything that Wangamati is currently using.

“I have no bad intentions with Wangamati, but he is bragging so much that he has done much,” the former Senate speaker said.

He pledged to support women groups and youths through education and return of trade loans to help small businesses.

Lusaka further said he would streamline the county bursary kitty to ensure that it benefits all students.

"The current administration claims to support only bright students but under my leadership I will support all students including those who get below average marks to access education," Lusaka said.
