He said he and Deputy President William Ruto cannot do much if they do not have a team of people who understands them and pushes for their agenda.
Gachagua spoke at Nyambare trading centre in Lari subcounty, during his tour of the Limuru, Lari and Githunguri constituencies.
The crowd however chanted," We want Moses Kuria for governor."
Gachagua was accompanied by Chama Cha Kazi leader Kuria as well as former Kiambu Governor and Tujibebe leader William Kabogo.
Also, Lari Kirenga MCA Wilson Kamau (UDA) and UDA Senate candidate Karungo Thang'wa.
In a six-piece pattern voters pick all candidates from the same party for president, governor, senator, MP, woman rep and MCA.
UDA candidates have been urging residents to vote in those affiliated with the party, so Ruto can have strength in Parliament.
This call did not sit well with other parties' supporters as speakers started being heckled.
Gachagua, however, said Lari MP Jonah should stop sending youths to heckle leaders addressing Kenya Kwanza rallies.
He said Mburu should organise a meeting with Azimio la Umoja leaders led by presidential candidate Raila Odinga to visit the subcounty instead of destroying other people's meetings.
Mburu is defending his seat on a Jubilee Party ticket.
Kiambu Woman Representative Ann Muratha was also heckled when she urged voters to follow the six-piece pattern.
She had to cut short her speech and hand the microphone to Gachagua who later invited Senator Kimani Wamatangi, the UDA candidate for Kiambu governor, to speak.
Wamatangi avoided the six-piece calls and only urged their supporters to vote for him and Ruto.
Gachagua further dismissed PS Karanja Kibicho's claims that he was inciting the police.
Police officers, he said, are well educated and are knowledgeable professionals who cannot be incited by anyone.
The legislator said President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration has erroneously taken the view that police officers are malleable.
He said Kenya Kwanza will improve police officers' working conditions, uniforms and how they live.
The MP said they will also improve their salaries and those of chiefs to motivate them.
“We want them to work well, instead of arresting you at night. When they see you, they escort you home. I want to ask Kibicho to stop saying that I’m inciting the police officers,” he said.
UDA Lari MP candidate Mburu Kahangara condemned those who disrupt other people's meeting.
Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo recently told reporters Kenya Kwanza should unite and campaign as a team.
He said their supporters should have a free hand to pick men and women of their choice without pressure from UDA.
“We aren’t advocating for six-piece, every party is allowed to leave space for a free and fair election. Whoever wins will be supported by the Kenya Kwanza government," Kabogo said.
He said that a ‘mix-and-match’ voting pattern will be an exercise of democracy as Kenyans will be allowed to vote for leaders that they deserve.
In a protest letter to the UDA secretariat, Farmers Party leader Irungu Nyakera said, "UDA candidates in their characteristic deficiency of civility are referring to fringe parties and their candidates as tatters."
The Service Party leader Mwangi Kiunjuri during a recent Inooro TV interview also warned UDA against selfishness.
Kiunjuri said Gachagua should allow other affiliated party candidates to sell their manifestos during a rally.
“We are shocked during UDA rallies, only their candidates are given the opportunity to sell their manifestos and this may create a rift within a coalition.
"We should collectively own this battle … even as we compete amongst ourselves, we should refrain from utterances that create bad blood in the campaigns,” he said.
A few days ago, Kiunjuri urged Kenya Kwanza officials to emulate Azimio's planning style, saying openness had made the Raila-faction gain massive popularity at the grassroots level.
"In Kenya Kwanza, you notice we are always fighting each other, but Azimio has planned their government. They know who will be who and what. However, in Kenya Kwanza even insiders like myself are not aware of what is happening," the former Agriculture CS said.
A few months ago, candidates from affiliate parties were left out as those allied to the UDA visited DP Ruto at his home in Karen, Nairobi.
