As he prepares to retire on 25 July 2026 after years of distinguished service, we celebrate the remarkable leadership and enduring legacy of Kiprono Kittony, whose contribution to Kenya’s media industry has left an indelible mark.

Throughout his tenure as Chairman, Kittony provided visionary leadership during a period of significant transformation in Kenya’s media industry.

His steady guidance, strategic foresight, and unwavering commitment to excellence helped strengthen governance, encourage innovation, and position the industry to respond effectively to the rapidly evolving digital era.

A respected leader in both the public and private sectors, Kittony championed the role of media as a cornerstone of democracy, national development, and public accountability.

He consistently advocated for professionalism, innovation, and ethical journalism, recognising the critical role of credible information in fostering an informed and empowered society.

One of Kittony’s defining strengths has been his exceptional diplomatic skills and his ability to build bridges across diverse interests.
