The current society is diminishing the male gender while putting more emphasis on empowering women.
It is not bad to empower the girl child with all the initiatives and organisations that are ongoing currently, but it would be better if there will be a balance so that no gender will feel left out.
Since the introduction of women empowerment programmes, there has been a great positive impact on women but a negative impact on men.
The boychild is not recognised as an important person like before since society now focuses on the girls.
This has led to a sort of imbalance in various sectors, especially in education and careers.
Currently, women are on the run to outwit the males in every sector to an extent of violating the men.
In most cases, no action is taken when a man is abused by a lady and vice versa.
In the education sector, we find the number of ladies who further their studies are quite many compared to men.
This can be as a result of men having some feeling of irresponsibility.
In the past, men were responsible for providing economically.
However, the situation has now changed, most men are dropping out of school while others are lazing around abusing drugs and engaging in illegal activities.
Male chauvinism is also experienced in the careers/opportunity sector.
You find there are more chances favouring women than men.
Empowerment of one gender and demoralising the other is creating a great negative imbalance in society.
Action should be taken to create a balance in gender issues.
For great development, there should be a balance and not a feeling of superiority.
