In Summary

•Therefore, the head of state should either lift the curfew and declare the country free of the pandemic or crack the whip on politicians.

•The law only applies when it comes to an innocent Kenyan who is struggling to make ends meet.

A political rally in Nairobi.

President Uhuru Kenyatta banned all political rallies and forums that brought together large crowds in a bid to stop the spread of Covid-19.

However, despite this, politicians have continued touring various parts of the country in a vote hunting mission without considering the lives of common Kenyans.

It’s disheartening because the president has not taken any action against these arrogant politicians.

With barely 10 months to the next general election, each of the presidential hopefuls is hitting the road gathering crowds oblivious of the exposure to the ravaging pandemic.

It is however ironic that despite the politicians walking freely gathering crowds, the common man is facing the wrath of the police anytime they are caught flaunting the 10 pm curfew.

Therefore, the head of state should either lift the curfew and declare the country free of the pandemic or crack the whip on defiant politicians.

The curfew has also affected many Kenyans especially those operating in social joints, the boda boda and the taxi sector with their cries for the president to lift the curfew and resume back to their normal operations falling to a deaf ear.

A good number of Kenyans have lost their livelihoods following several measures that have been put in place by the government to curb the spread of the Covid-19, but on the other hand, politicians are free.

The law only applies when it comes to an innocent Kenyan who is struggling to make ends meet.

If the President means well for the country he should save innocent lives by implementing his directive as well as rolling out massive vaccinations.
