Lowering the age of sexual consent from 18 years to 16 years will immensely contribute to vices among the youths.

Teenage pregnancies have been on the rise and they result in an increase in school dropouts. This has been a matter of concern and is highly debated.

Most stakeholders in education are against lowering the age as comprehensive sexuality education has not been integrated into the syllabus, hence would expose vulnerable youths to pregnancy and deny them their right to education.

Besides, their lifestyle is already worrying.
