Kenya National Highways Authority Friday evening announced the temporary closure of Uhuru Highway between the University of Nairobi Roundabout and the Nakuru bound carriageway.
The closure started Friday, June 14 at 11 pm and will remain out of service until Sunday, June 23 at 11 pm.
"The closure is to allow highway maintenance work at the section," KeNHA said.
All motorists intending to use the Uhuru Highway (A8) Nakuru Bound section have been advised to use alternative routes such as Nyerere Road, Arboretum Drive, River Side and Ring Road Kileleshwa.
Motorists using the section have equally been asked to exercise caution and follow the traffic signs and the guidance in place as shall be directed by police and traffic marshalls who will be on site.
